Portrait of Adrienne Johnson-Conway

OUR STORY

The decadent aroma of chocolate that fills the shop is the handiwork of our experienced chocolatier and shop owner, Adrienne Johnson-Conway.

For decades, our shop was home to Dietrich's Chocolates, where Adrienne spent 15 years working for and learning from a chocolatier who had gained admiration in the Denver area for his Bavarian-style confections. When he retired, Adrienne took the opportunity to showcase her skills and love for chocolate-making, opening a shop of her own in the same, memory-filled space. The shop was renovated with the help of her partners, and Deiter's Chocolates was born.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

The name Deiter's is special for two reasons: first, it is meant to recognize the previous owner and his accomplishment of building an iconic business in our neighborhood. Second, Adrienne's partners have four generations of men named Dietrich in their own family, including their son, and Deiter is a family nickname.

It's a fresh new look with the same time-honored, handcrafted truffles, caramel turtles, nut clusters and nonpareils people have come to love. Plus new recipes and offerings brought to you by Adrienne. We invite you to stop in, treat yourself, and savor the aroma!
